Photojournalist Questions

What kind of education do you need to become a photojournalist?
You need to pursue bachelor's degree programs in photojournalism in order to become a photojournalist. If a school or university doesn't offer a bachelor's degree in photojournalism, students can also major in photography and minor in journalism.

What's one school that has a photojournalism program?

Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts has a photojournalism program.

What kind of pay might you expect to earn as a photojournalist?
An average photojournalist can earn $14,000 to $54,000 a year. He/she can earn $1,110 to $4,562 per month.

What would you need to do to prepare for a job interview as a photojournalist?

You want to make a good impression. So, to get the job, you want to make a portfolio with things that YOU like to photograph, not what others do.

Would you consider this as a possible profession/job in your future?  Why or why not?
Yes, I would consider this as a possible profession in my future. I love taking pictures and my aunt is a photographer and she has somewhat inspired me to be a photographer also.
