Reflection

In journalism, I have improved in my writing. I also learned how to take great pictures. What I like about the class, was the photojournalism presentation and the new people that I have met. I enjoyed having Mrs. Sine as my journalism teacher because she made the class fun/easier. Something I didn't like about the class, was all of the writing we were assigned. I think the grade I deserve for this class would be a B or maybe an A-. I haven't done all of the posts on my blog that I was supposed to, so I shouldn't have 100% in the class.

My Reaction

My reaction about yesterday's presentation by Roy Juarez Jr.: I thought the speaker was very inspiring to the audience. His whole life story was depressing because at such a young age, he had no where to go and had to live on his own. I like how he didn't give up and he went back to school too. What was most inspiring to me was that he's traveling to different states and going to schools to show kids that you'll always have another chance to make things right in your life.

My Opinion on Graffiti

In my opinion, people who do graffiti should have to pay for what they've done unless it is on their own property. You can do art bust not gang signs or something. People that vandalize another persons property cause a lot of damage that the owners have to pay for which can be pretty expensive. Unless you want to be punished and possibly go to jail, I wouldn't do graffiti because you will have to pay for the damage too.

What I Did Over Break

Over winter break, I was at my grandma's house the whole time because my auntie and her family were visiting. I went christmas shopping and hung out with with friends too. On Christmas, I just opened presents and ate dinner with my whole family. For Christmas, I basically got perfume, clothes and money. On New Year's Eve, we had a big party with friends and family and just celebrated New Year's and partied all night.

Gun Control and Safety

I think the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut, was very tragic and shocking to our country. In my opinion, I think 20 year old, Adam Lanza, was insane to kill those innocent children and teachers. Also, shouldn't the school have had some type of security on their campus? Adam Lanza shouldn't have gotten in that easy. In Connecticut, it isn't that hard to get your hands on firearms. I think the laws should be stricter so that something like this does not occur again.

What's Important

1.What's important to you? What's important to me is mainly God, my family, and my education.
2.What do you care most about? I care most about my mom and my grades in school.
3.What goals do you have for your future? For my future, I'm planning to go to college. Since I want to stay closer to my family, I want to go to SDSU.
4.What motivates you to do your best and keep you focused on your goals? Something that keeps me motivated to do my best is just to focus on my grades in  school. Another thing that motivates me, is the support that my friends and family give me.

I'm A Photojournalist

The subjects that I chose to photograph are an animal, a child, a landscape, a small group of people, and a sunset. For this project, the partner I have chosen to work with, is Gabby Romero. Also, we have chosen to use our own cameras.
